The Fashion Revolution Week that was...

Last week we celebrated Fashion Revolution Week and what a week it was! Over 90 countries participated in the campaign worldwide, demanding for greater transparency within the fashion industry by asking the question #whomademyclothes? The week acknowledged the faces behind our fashion, it celebrated the amazing changes already happening in the fashion world, it educated designers and consumers on how to be more ethically and sustainably conscious and it encouraged us all to simply slow down. Our Project Manager Sarah covered all the action.

The War on Women: And the Ones Who Fight Back is a powerful book, written by Sue Lloyd-Roberts. Sue was an English BBC reporter who spent 40 years of her life travelling across the globe, meeting some of the most remote and marginalised women in the world.

Creative. Check.

Quirky. Check.

Strong, brave and empowered woman. Check.

Rule breaker. Check.

Bushy eyebrows du jour. Check.

No wonder we're obsessed with Frida Kahlo this week. We had an TBE field trip to the NSW Art Gallery yesterday to see the new FRIDA KAHLO + DIEGO RIVERA exhibition, and despite the long lines and being herded around in sold out time slots, it certainly didn't disappoint!
